Monaghan Harps notes

Monaghan Harps Lotto: Numbers 4, 8, 16 and 19. Jackpot of €8,500 won by Ann Treanor c/o herself! Congratulations to Ann! Jackpot for Sunday, January 15 is €1,000 and Gráinne and Owen Connell are on duty. Lotto draw takes place in our clubhouse every Sunday night. All welcome. Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support for our Lotto.

Charity match: All funds raised from our New Year’s Day charity match will go to a local charity/charities to be named at a later date. Any sponsorship forms still to be returned can be left into the clubhouse or to the organisers.

Membership: Registration fees of €20 for 2017 can now be paid to club registrar Kevin Treanor or in the clubhouse.

Dates to remember: Monaghan Arch Club will return to Gavan Duffy Park for their annual visit on February 9. We will be participating and hosting at Féile Peil na nÓg 2017 (June 23-25). Keep an eye on club notes for more details on these events. Scór Sinsear is scheduled for Saturday week (January 21) in Tullycorbet.

History social night: As part of compiling a club history, we will be hosting another reminiscence evening in the early stages of 2017: keep an eye on club notes for more details.

Coaching: There are several upcoming coaching courses/workshops in Cloghan. Check the Monaghan GAA website and contact Pádraig Callan if you wish to attend any.

Yearbook: The 2016 Monaghan GAA Yearbook is available at a cost of €10 and gives a full review of the last year for club and county.

County awards night: Monaghan GAA’s annual awards presentation night will be held in the Hillgrove Hotel on Friday week (January 20).

Gavan Duffy Park: The refurbished Monaghan Harps clubhouse is available to book for functions. We are now taking bookings for 2017; please get in early to avoid disappointment! Anyone looking to book the clubhouse for meetings, functions, etc. is asked to please give a week’s notice for convenience.
