A massive thank you to all those that took part in the annual new years day swim held in the town park. A special mention to Dermot Coyle & Phillip Duffy who provided hot beverages for all those in attendance, to Ballybay bowling club for supplying the power & to Paddy Kerr and Shane O’Neil for their extra piece of entertainment. Again all sponsorship is greatly appreciated by the club and everyone who has cards still to hand in can do so to Paddy Kerr.

Best wishes to the Ballybay representatives who will pull on the county jersey for this years’ McKenna Cup. Everyone associated with the club wishes Drew, Ryan, Thomas & Dessie all the very best.

Smypathies: The club would like to offer its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Emma Kerley & Eamon Hughes who were laid to rest over this past week. May they rest in peace.

Bingo: Just a quick note to remind everyone that the club’s weekly Bingo takes place every Tuesday night at 9pm in the clubhouse. The bingo is a great opportunity for the community to come together midweek and have a good night while maybe even winning a few bob. This is a fundamental part of the club’s fund raising for day-to-day costs and we would all really appreciate if you, your friends or your family could support this if you can at all. And, don’t forget, there is transport available to the centre.

Finally, happy new year to anyone associated with the Ballybay Pearse Brothers both at home and in locations all over the global. Hopefully 2017 is a fantastic year for you all.
