Latton GAA Club Club Notes – Week Beginning 22nd November 2016

AGM

Our AGM took place on Thursday 24th November . The meeting was very well attended and delegates were presented with reports detailing in full the current position of the club and a detailed and full review of the year just completed. The election of officers followed and the following were elected on the night

Chairman-Patrick Hamilton,Secretary-Kate Lynch,Treasurer-Brendan Fitzpatrick/Teresa Kierns ,PRO-Christina Weldon,Youth Officer –Michael Duffy,Development Officer – Alan Mc Entee,Coaching officer –held over to 1st meeting,Health & Wellbeing Officer –Briege Mc Cabe,Groudsman-John Nixon,County Board Delegate – Rory Ward,Pitch Bookings- Bernie Hamilton.

Incoming Chairman thanked the outgoing committee for a hardworking and successful year and wished the cLub all the best for 2017 year.

2017 CENTENUARY YEAR OF LATTON O’RAHILLY GAA CLUB-Latton O’Rahilly GAA Club will celebrate the Centenuary of its foundation in 2017,a major year of events to suitable honour the foundation of the club in 1917,its role and the achievement of club members in the Latton/Bawn area will be celebrated.The Club are currently seeking to gather club archival materials,photographs,minute books,documentation relating to club activities,videos/DVDs,match reports,recordings etc,if you or anyone you know has any material relating to the playing of gaelic games or activities in Latton/Bawn i.e. football,hurling,camogie,ladies football,handball,scor,rounders etc,etc,please contact,Patrick Hamilton 086-2686619,Seamus Coyle 087-6814067 or Ann Lynch 087-6704005,e-mail lattongaa2017@gmail.com

Latton Ladies

Latton Ladies bowed out of the All Ireland Series on Saturday last in Latton with a narrow defeat to St Maurs. These two evenly matched teams were level at full time and at half time in extra time. St Maur’s just edged it in the second half of extra time.

We would like to Sincerely thank all our Volunteers who helped on the day in any way and to the Supporters who made sure the Blue & White was flying high for our Ladies last Saturday.

Scoil Mhuire Christmas Fayre

This Year’s Fayre takes place in Latton GAA Centre on Sunday 4TH from 2pm Sunday 4th .This year there are many addittions including Rides on santa train ,free face painting, delicious home baking, crafty gift ideas, great raffle prizes, chin up bar and lots more. The school children will be showcasing their seanos dancing and traditional music skills. Brendan Mc Cahey and Ciaran Rosney will perform. Together we will get the Christmas spirit off to a great start. Everyone welcome. A great local day out with the family. See you there.
