Our Ladys Secondary School Girls in U20 Play off A Semi Final
Our lady’s Castleblayney  senior girls qualified for Ulster U20 A semi final last Friday after a keenly contested three way play off in Sherry Fields in Armagh. Lurgan, Ballygawley and the blayney girls had finished level on four points in the group stages and thus a play off was needed to determine who would qualify from the group. The opening game saw the OLSS girls pitted against Lurgan, the highly rated Armagh outfit had defeated the Blayney girls by 10 points in October. The OLSS girls trailed four points to two with seven minutes goals by Sorcha Mc Cage and Erin Hamill turned the game in Blayney favour Jayne Drury and Mc Cague added further points to run out 2.05 to 04 winners.
A short turn around saw us  play St Ciaran’s Ballygawley in the next game. In a game were little separated the sides the Tyrone girls ran out 1 point winners. A superior scoring difference saw the OLSS girls qualify from the play off in top position setting up an Ulster A semi final against Loreto Omagh.
