Seniors:

Last weekend our Senior team faced Tyrone Champions Pomeroy Plunketts in the Ulster Club Intermediate Championship Final on Sunday in Pairc Esler Newry. This was an historic day for the club as the men competed in their 1st Ulster Final. Unfortunately on the day the lads just fell short against a very strong Pomeroy outfit. Congratulations to Pomeroy and best of luck to them in the All Ireland series. There is no shame in this defeat for our lads however as this will be known forever as a fantastic year for the club and this team. So congratulations to all the team and management, on a brilliant year.

Recently Deceased:

The club would like to extend it’s sympathies to the Mc Elwaine family and friends on the death of Robert Mc Elwaine recently.

Ladies

Seniors:

The All Ireland Club Final will take place this Sunday the 4th of November in Parnell Park, Dublin, when the girls face familiar opponents Foxrock-Cabinteely at 2.45pm. We hope to see as large a support again on the day as the girls look to claim a 5th All Ireland title, just over 10 years after the club claimed it’s 1st title.

Gaelic-Life All Stars:

Congratulaions to the 6 Donaghmoyne Girls who claimed Gaelic Life Ulster All Stars, Joanne Geoghean, Fiona Courtney, Sharon Courtney, Cora Courtney, Eileen Mc Elroy and Cathriona Mc Connell. Well done to all and to all the girls who were nominated also.

Church Gate Collection:

Donaghmoyne Ladies will hold their Annual Church Gate Collection in the parish this weekend. We thank you in advance for your continued support.

Hard luck to our mens team on their Ulster Club Final loss against Pomeroy last Sunday. Hard luck to Blackhill in their Ulster Final last Sunday also.
