Emyvale Boxing Club are holding their Annual Tournament in St Mellans this Sat 19th Nov, first bout at 7.30pm. There will be a selection of bouts between many local boxers and opponents from all over Ulster. Great night’s entertainment guaranteed.

Training continues as arranged with management all minors to attend. congratulations to the ladies who won the intermediate league final Sunday past after a very physical and hard fought battle to corduff. a pretty impressive and successful year this team has had, well done to each and every girl and the management team.
Liathroid Laimhe
Juveniles County Championships. Peter Treanor and John Treanor took part in the U12 County championships at the weekend in the Harps complex, John was in first against Hubert from the Monaghan Harps Club, John lost both games 15-8, 15-10 but played very well through out and if only had a bit more court time could have progressed, Peter was up against Oisin Mc Geown also the Harps and push him to a tie-breaker game, having lost the first 15-9 Peter fought back to take the 2nd 15-11, Oisin got his serving going well in the tie-breaker and won it 11-3, both our players played very well and with a more practise these boys could have went further.
Club Juveniles. Juveniles groups so far, U10-U12 Boys Monday evenings 7-8pm, U10-U13 Girls Wednesday evenings 7-8pm, U14-U16 Girls Thursday evenings 7-8pm, U13-U15 boys Thursday evenings 8-9pm and Beginners on Friday evenings for boys & girls 7pm-7:45pm, times may change going forward to accommodate players, all must be registered please do so,10 euro, goggles must be worn at all times in the alley no matter what age, all must be registered and all new members must have the full registration forms filled in with John Kelly.
Adults. We are looking at putting the bones of an Adult league together with some of the older juveniles, any one interested in playing please forward you name to Brendy Keenan, all players must be paid up fully to John Kelly.
GAA League. The GAA league is starting now soon, John Treanor is captain so good luck to all taking part, alleys may be needed on Wednesdays from 7:30pm.
The Alleys. It is very unfortunate that we must bring it to some peoples attention that the alleys are for handball only, over the past few months club members have spent time getting the walls painted and sanded to bring them up to a very respectable condition and it has been noticed that football marks have been noticed on the clean walls, also in the glass alley a protective cover for the light has been broken and outside in the viewing area grills on the roof have also been broken so no footballs are allowed in either alleys or in the viewing areas, strictly footballs are forbidden, the committee.
