Seniors:

Last weekend our Senior team faced Down Champions Bredagh in the Ulster Quarter Final on Sunday in Pairc Esler Newry. This was a very entertaining, hard, free flowing game of football with both sides working very hard to gain the edge. After a blistering opening half the sides went in level at the break at 1-8 apiece. The second half proved to be every bit as tight and it took a late Donaghmoyne free to send the sides to extra time. In Extra Time Donaghmoyne proved to have fresher legs which was the major factor in the end result as Donaghmoyne went on to claim a fantastic win. The lads now face Antrim Champions Aghagallon in the Semi Final back in Newry on Sunday October 13th at 12.45. Before that however the lads have another big game as they take on neighbours Inniskeen in the Intermediate League Semi Final. That one throws in at 1.30 in Inniskeen this Sunday. Come support the lads as they look to book their place in the league final.

Mini Fontenoys:

Mini Fontenoys training has finished for the 2016 season. A big thank you to all involved in another very successful year for our Mini’s!

Recently Deceased:

The club would like to extend it’s sympathies to the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones over the past number of weeks. We sympathise with the Rooney family and friends on the death of Mary Rooney, the Mc Caghey family and friends on the death of Ann Mc Caghey and also the Hanratty family and friends on the death of PJ Hanratty. May they all rest in peace.

Ladies

Seniors:

Congratulations to our Senior Ladies Team who claimed their 10th Ulster Senior Club Title after a great win over St. Macartans in Galbally last Saturday. It was a very tight first half with Donaghmoyne going in at the break with a 2 point advantage, 1-3 to 0-4, the goal coming from the boot of Cathriona Mc Connell. In the 2nd half Donaghmoyne upped their work rate and started to take control of the game, but they still found it hard to shake off their opponents until Niamh Callan riffled to the net at the start of the final quarter to extend their advantage, a lead which the girls pushed on with and held on which meant they claimed the title. Congratulations to all involved. The girls now move on to the All Ireland Club Semi Final and that game is meant to be played on Saturday the 19th of November against the Munster Champions, so keep that date free in your diary.

U12s:

Well done to our U12 girls team who took part in the half time game at Saturdays Ulster Club Final in Galbally.
