Our Minors meet Naomh Moninne [Louth] on Sunday morning last in the Ulster league semi final , This game had it all, fast hurling, hard hitting and the skill of the game. Naomh Moninne was first to hit the score board with a point while Luke McKenna pull back two, then the visitors got 1-3 before Oisin Wilcox got a point back in the 15th Minute, in that space Carrick had 6 wides. With almost point for point on both sides Caolain Martin, Ronan McMahon, Luke McKenna with one each plus more wides until half time it finish 0-7 to 1-09. Second half start with a bang with Jack Marron point follow by Lukes 2-01 in first 10 mins then 3 more points each, leaving 2-12 to 1-12 at the 26th min. Then the visitors got a close in free. The low shot was block but spin off defender hurl and cross the line. With time ticking away more wides came on both sides but the lads could only pull a point while Naomh Moninne got two, leaving it 2-13 to 2-14 at full time. Hard luck lads but all had a great game.
