Seniors:

Last weekend our Senior team had an important fixture in the Mc Elvaneys Waste & Recycling Intermediate Football Championship. The lads took on Rockorry in the Championship Final in Clontibret. As always this was a tough encounter with both sides having to work hard to reap rewards. With Rock having the better of the exchanges in the opening quarter Donaghmoyne rallied to take a single point lead into the half time break. After the restart both sides traded blows for most of the half before Donaghmoyne doubled their lead with 10 minutes to go, a lead they thankfully held on to by the minimum amount. The full time whistle was greeted by scenes of outrageous joy from the Fontenoys faithful as Donaghmoyne were crowned Champions for the 1st time in 20 years. Congratulations to all the team and management on this marvellous achievement. We now face Down Champions Bredagh in the Ulster Quarter Final on Sunday the 30th of October in Pairc Esler at 12.45.

Mini Fontenoys:

Mini Fontenoys training continues this Saturday between 11-12. The cost is €2 per family, gum shield essential. All new faces are as always more than welcome.
