MINORS  DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONSHIP:
Ma GUIRE  TRANSPORT:
Hard luck is extended to Team Captains Micheal Bannigan & Stephen Mc Gee, the Minor team & their mentors who where beaten in the Division one Championship Final on Sunday last. This great team of boys fought hard all year to get to this day, a lot of training, time & hard work was a reward for the boys reaching the Division 1 Minor Championship Final but a young Aughnamullen side where unfortunate to succumb to a stronger Corduff side. Even though Aughnamullen  where the 1st to score with a point from Micheal Bannigan given by Ryan Connolly in the 4th min. Aughnamullen where struggling to keep in the game. with a half time score of Aughnamullen (0-4) to Corduff (1-7). Ryan Connolly give us his second point in the opening score in the second half followed by a goal from Micheal Bannigan. but Corduff got their second goal which give them that extra lead. Aughnamullen seemed lost to Corduff strong side which ended the game in a score line of Aughnamullen (1-8) To Corduff (2-10). Credit is to go to this team for a great year of football. To their trainer Gerry Hamill who came in to help out in the start of the year for a few sessions but stayed to help bring these boys to a County Final. To Lee, Colm, Patrick & Brian for their commitment the early Sunday morning training through the cold and wind and rain. They where there to encourage the boys through the tough & good times. We look forward seeing these men back managing next year. These boys are a credit to them selves, their family & their club.
