Monaghan Coaching & Games held an u15 Super Touch Hurling blitz on Monday the 3rd October in Cloghan. The blitz was 7 a side with a long range scoring zone where a score from outside the zone resulted in 3 points for a score. On top of that a point scored from the ground was also awarded 3 points. On the night teams from Castleblayney, Cootehill and Monaghan Harps played matches at a fairly good standard. After the  group games, Monaghan Harps and Cootehill contested the final. Cootehill having scored fairly well throughout the earlier games only managed 1 point  in the final. They never at any stage gave up, fighting right to the end. Loachlain power, the Harps captain was crucial to the harps, linking defence and attack and also shooting some fine scores along with Darragh Murray and Tristan Moyna up front causing problems for Cootehill. Emmett Walsh was also solid in defence. Harps ran out winners on a scoreline of cootehill 0-1 to Monaghan Harps 4-6. A huge thanks to the clubs that attended.
