SENIORS

Unfortunately our Senior Championship run ended with a below par performance against Clontibret on Sunday last. After what can only be described as a dream start with an exceptional goal from Paudie McMahon 45 seconds after the ball was trown in, things just didn’t come together for the Mitchells the way we would have liked and we lost on a score line of 3-04 to Clontibret 1-12. U6’S

The U6 Academy had a very successful blitz on Saturday morning in Magheracloone. The children got to show off all the the skills they have been practicing so hard at training. Thank you to Kingscort, Bailieboro, Killeevan, Silverbridge, Corduff and Inniskeen for attending. Thank you also to Sean Hughes, Jimmy O Lone and Lorraine Tuite for organising the blitz

U8’S

Our U8’S played their last and final Go Games Blitz for this year and what a preformance they put in. Well done to all the children who played. Thank you to Donaghmoyne GFC for a well run blitz.

U16

Our U16 took on Aughnamullen in the Div1 Championship Final on Saturday last in Carrickmacross in front of a very large crowd. This was from the start a fantastic game of football from two evenly matched teams. Magheracloone fought hard and battled to the end in a tough game and just came up short in the end. Thank you to the players and mentors for their commitment to this team all year. Final score Magheracloone 6-9 Aughnamullen 4-17. U6 ACADEMY

The U6 Acamedy for 2016/17 starts on October 1st from 10 to 11 (Boys Only). We will be looking for parents to get involved at this level. Garda Vetting is required in advance. Anyone interested can contact our Coach and Development Officer on 087 2660143.

JUVENILE COMMITTEE

Now that the season has come to an end the Juvenile Committee would like to thank all the Juvenile Coaches for their time, hard work and dedication . They would also like to thank the senior players who helped out in any way throughout the year.

Septembers monthly meeting will be held in the club rooms this evening Tuesday the 13th of September at 8:30. All members welcome.

JERSEYS FOR LOU

Lou Metzger is going to Uganda on September 19th. He plans to visit many schools ond orphanages. Lou needs our help in collecting Jerseys, school supplies and lollies ( no books or copies as they are too heavy). All donations would be very much appreciated by Lou and the many children he plans to visit. Any donations can be dropped up to Lou or can be given to any coach at the U6/8/10 training.
