Latton GAA Club Club Notes – Week Beginning 12th September 2016

U8’s

Well done to our Boys & Girls who played their final Blitz in Donaghmoyne last Saturday. Thanks to all our Coaches who helped out this season.

U14’s

Our U14 Division 5 Team played Emyvale in the Gerry’s Preapred Veg Shield final last Saturday in Scotstown . The team lined out with Jack Dempsey,Matthew Lennon,Thomas Conor Fitzpatrick,Michael Weldon,Jamie McGorman,Brendan Mallon,Ben Duffy (Capt),Aaron Duffy,Ryan Duffy,Evan Coyle,Jamie West with Subs :Ben Mc Geough,Patrick Kierans,Darragh Murphy,Pauric West,Niall Mc Caul,Jude Mc Entee & Mark Ward. at 12.00pm.They put in a great performance especially in the second half but were defeated on the day. Well done to all our players and to Management of Pete Coyle & Barry Dempsey.

Good luck to our U14 Division 1 Team who play Donaghmoyne in Gerry’s Prepared Veg League Final on Saturday in Corduff at 1.30pm.

U16 Football Championship

Our U16 team played in the Division 2 Championship Final last Saturday in Scotstown .The team lined up with Shane Black,Eoin Duffy,Thomas Mc Phillips,Jacj Morris,Conor Corrigan,Shane West,Padraig Hughes ( Captain),Shane Duffy,Enda Mc Phillips,Aaron Mulligan,Gavin West,Shane Slevin,Niall Maguire. Subs were Darragh Dempsey ,Michael Coyle who both featured on the day along with Karl Hughes & James Slevin.

A great committed game of football from both side . The first half was a very even affair with Latton leading 1-05 to 0-03 at interval. Latton dominated in the 2nd half to run out eventual winners 2-15 to 0-09. They also play Sean McDermotts in the League Semi Final on Monday 19th September at 6.15 in Latton.

Senior League

We have an away Senior Fixture on Saturday 17th in Clontibret at 3.30.
