Grattan’s Óige by Mickey Kindlon: Juniors U8 & U10: Training as usual Saturday 11-12 U11: There is a Brendan Colton memorial blitz on Saturday 17th September for U11s More information during the week. U14: Played in the division 1 shield final on Sunday in Latton. The first half started very bright with Shane Hanratty dominating the middle of field and supplying good ball to the forwards. Garrett Burns and Alan Needham were very lively in the forward line and they raced into an early lead. Emyvale struck back with a goal against the run of play. Emyvale started to break even and managed 2 goals before halftime leaving the score 1-6 to 3-6. In the second half they battled very bravely and the defence of Ciaran Martin and Adam McSkane tried very hard with the keeper Alan o Reilly making some great saves. The team as a whole in the second half worked well but were unable to stem the tide of Emyvale who ran out winners in the end.
