Previous weeks have seen the takings in the lotto drop significantly; a lot of you know this is our main source of income. This is a very simple way to keep the club running and all we ask is that all players and members make an effort and try and take part in our lotto. All envelopes can be dropped into either of the 2 shops, chip shop or either of the 2 pubs in the village

Senior’s

Next game this coming Saturday away V Oram, Throw in at 3.30pm

Speedy recovery to our Senior player Connor Toal after a nasty nose break.

Minor’s

It was absolute heart break for the lads last Sunday in Drumhowan. In the first half it was a tight affair with both teams giving nothing away to easy. It wasn’t until the 2nd half when Man of the match Francie McMahon stepped up to the mark and played some serious stuff and found himself on the end of a perfectly placed pass from Paul Monaghan and with only one thing on his mind, riffled the ball into the back of the net. As the game progressed into the injury time and we held a very slim 1 point lead it was Carrickmacross who got onto the ball high up the field and found a man inside who made no mistake and got the match winning goal.

Despite under serious pressure the whole game Shane Monaghan and Connor Leonard made sure the ball didn’t wasn’t give away to easily and worked it well up the field linking with Calvin Carlise very well. Other great performances came from Blain Smith at half forward and the same can be said about Regan McAree who unfortunately had to leave the field of play at half time due to injury.

Hard luck has to be said to a fantastic bunch of lads and to the management team; Raymond Leonard, James Marrow and Gerry Reilly. Also thank you to Grainne and Padraig in the Skule Inn for providing food afterwards for the players and management team.

The club will be holding our annual parish league on the 24th of September at 2pm. We will be holding various skills competition’s and matches threw out the day and we hope to make it a family fun day out. There will be a disco and presentation that evening in the complex from 7 to 9.
