Magill Cup Winners 2016: Congratulations to our under 12 team who made history by winning the Magill Cup division 4 league title for the first time at Blackhill last Saturday. The 1-13 to 1-08 final victory over Toome was only the clubs second ever triumph at the under 12 grade adding to the Conlon Cup division 3 league won in 2008.

Doohamlet began the match strongly and raced into a commanding lead with a succession of fine point scoring. However, Toome recovered to reduce the arrears to 0-10 to 1-03 at the break. Playing against the wind in the second period all our boys played their part in maintaining the advantage and a strong finish ensured victory. Joint Captains David McGinn and Cian McKenna received the cup from County Board Official Noel Duffy.

Seniors: A disappointing result on Saturday evening last when we suffered defeat against Carrick. This was a game that just nothing went right on the night. We must put this game behind us and move on.

Irish Bog Snorkelling Championship: This event takes place on Saturday next Sept 10th from 12 to 6pm. Now in its eight year Doohamlet GFC is proud to be associated with this unique event. A great family day out with Bouncy Castles, Face Painting, Burgers and refreshments and of course Snorkelling in the Bog. A number of County players will also be in attendance signing autographs and maybe a little snorkelling.

We hope to see everyone there to sample this quirky activity and enjoy the entertainment.
