Clontibret Club Notes

September 15th, 2016

Clontibret

Greenfield Foods SFC

We are back in the County Final again with a 1-12 to 3-4 victory over Magheracloone in Clones on Sunday. In a game played in difficult windy conditions we controlled proceedings for most of it but had to fight back a number of times to counteract Magheracloone goals especially in the closing minutes. It’s on to another final now, with Scotstown to be played on 2nd October.

Credit Unions SFL

It’s back to league action this Saturday and a home game with Latton at 3.30pm with the next league game away to Doohamlet on Sunday 25th September

Under 14

We played Clones in the Shield final on Saturday in Scotstown and the boys kept their best performance to the end as Clones struggled to keep pace with a sharp all round performance.

Well done to the boys and their mentors Des Brennan, Seamus Carey and Eoin McGuigan on finishing the year on a high with good preparation for moving on to the next level. The winning lineout was Kyle Dunlop, Jack Dunlop, James Carey, Conor Moran, Jack Flynn, Patrick Keenan, Darren McMahon, Brian Macklin, Jack Coyle, Aaron Carey, Caolan Keenan, Conor Brady, Dara Brennan, Mark Fitzpatrick, Toirleach McQuaid, Pat Renaghan, Lewis Brady, Shane Myers, Lorcan Brennan

The cup was presented to winning captain James Carey

Clontibret Our Future

Contributions to the Clontibret Our Future fund which provides funding for the development of our new pitch are now being collected for year two. When your promoter calls please do your best to renew your contribution for another year. Now that the pitch has been levelled and the new car park created the next big step is creating the new pitch surface which obviously comes at a considerable cost. Support us now for the future!
