Had a brilliant win over Patrick Emmetts in the semi final in Aghabog on Saturday last in a cracker of a match that finished on a scoreline of 1:17 to 1:16.Although The Clones lads had established a good lead mid way through the second half it took a cracker of a goal from sub Oisin Clerkin to claim the win with the last kick of the game. Well done to Team Management of Daragh Graham,Paddy Cadden and James Kierans and congratulations to the team on reaching the final

Seniors had a facile win over Oram in the League at Clones on Sunday last with some great performances from our younger players Chris Cadden Ryan Rooney Luke Reihill and Fabien Beggan, but the big test is on Friday night in Emyvale when they take on Drumhowan in the championship at 8:15.Hopefully the injury to Paul Shiels will have cleared up as he has been a steadying influence in the back line also good to see the old warrior Michael Treanor back on the playing field.

NY Monaghan

The NY Monaghan team reached the final of the NewYork Senior Championship for the first time in 41 years in defeating NY Kerry by 2 :15 to 1:8 on Sunday last.Clones men Darren & David Freeman,Lonan Maguire and Fintan Kelly all played their part in the win.The Final v NY Donegal is on 11th September at Gaelic Park.

Ladies Football

Best wishes to Paula Cunningham and the Monaghan Ladies in the semi final v Cork this weekend.

Under 8 & Under 10’s took part in a blitz in Latton on Sat last.Thanks to Darren Cosgrove,Ciaran Mulhall , Collie McCaughey all who help with these youngsters.
