CLUB RESULTS

U21’S

Unfortunately for Magheracloone it was Donaghmoyne who snatched a late victory to claim the U21 Championship 2016. Magheracloone lead for most of the game and went in at half time up by 4, 1-6 to 0-5. A goal by Sean Marron at the start of the second half saw the lads up by 7 but then Donaghmoyne took hold of the game. It was a thrilling finish. Well done to the team who gave it their all. Final Score Magheracloone 2-10 Donaghmoyne 1-14. Team: Jack Kirk, Cian Freeman, Paul McArdle, Ronan Burns, Paudie McMahon(0-2), James Lambe(0-1),Conal Rooney, Niall Marron, Allan Kieran(0-1), Daniel Babington, Paudie Kirk(capt), Damien Rudden,Micheal Metzger, Sean Marron(1-0) and Alan McCahey(1-6). MINOR

Well done to our minor team who played their hearts out on Tuesday evening when they travelled to Aughnamullen. It was a sluggish start for the lads although the weather didn’t help. It wasn’t untill Jonathon Donnelly went off injured, that the lads upped their game and showed what they were made of. The second half started with a goal from a 45 from Niall Marron and with no less than seven players scoring it really was a great team effort. Full time score Magheracloone 3-16 Aughnamullen 0-12. Team: Jack kirk, Daniel Babington, Ronan Burns, Jack Doogan, Killian McNally(0-2), Conor McKeown, Connell Rooney(1-1), Barry Kieran(0-1), Niall Marron (1-0), Paudie McMahon(1-8) , Damien Rudden(0-2), Luke McKenna, Dylan McCahey, Mogie(0-2) and Jonathon Donnelly. Subs: David Martin for Johnaton Donnelly,Ryan McNulty for Killian McNally and Peter Finnegan for Luke McKenna.

U16’S

Under very wet conditions our U16’S travelled to Castleblayney on Thursday last to take on Castleblayney in the Semi Final of the Div 1 Championship. In what was a scrappy game, although the weather made both the pitch and ball very slippy, it was Magheracloone that came out eventual winners with a late goal from Jonathon Donnelly. Well done lads!!! Magheracloone now take on Aughnamullen in the Championship Final on the 11th of August. Team: Matthew Kieran, David Martin, Jack Doogan, Daniel McConnon, Cieran McMahon, Conor McKeown, Shane Burns, Mogie(1(p)-0), Jonathon Donnelly(2-0), David McArdle, Ryan McNulty(0-2), Gary Marron, Ronan McKeown(0-2) and Dylan McCahey(0-2)and Joe Kirk. Subs: Jayme Lambe for Ryan Farrelly, Jack McNulty for Jonathon Donnelly, Dylan Fox for Ryan McNulty and Kyle Matthews for Joe Kirk.

U14’S

Our U14’S took on Castleblayney on Saturday in RR2 of the div 2 shield. Unfortunately they were beaten by a stronger Blayney side.

CÚL CAMP

Magheracloone hosted their biggest ever Cúl Camp this week with 183 children taken part. We would like to thank Paul O Connor and his team on a very successful camp especially our local coaches, Mogie Murray, Karla Martin, Niamh Jones, Conor McKeown, Ryan McNulty and Lauren Kelly.
