U-12’s

Have their semi-final this Saturday against Magheracloone in Magheracloone at 12pm. Best of luck to the lads in this one. There has been a tremendous amount of hard work put in by Players and management so hopefully they can get through to the Division 2 final.

U-14’s

Lost to Clontibret on Saturday last. This splits into a cup and shield format so the lads will play Patricks Emmets in the semi-final next Saturday the 27th of August.

U-16’s

All roads lead to Threemilehouse this Saturday as they play Tyholland in the Division 3 championship final at 2.30pm.. It is a great achievement by the lads to reach this stage so please try and get out and support them.

Seniors

Came through an extremely tough encounter with Aghabog on Friday night on a scoreline of 2-16 to 3-12 in wet and windy conditions in Emyvale. It took extra time to separate the two teams and Clones are grateful for the win as things looked ominous at half time with Clones 7 points down going into the break. The game began quiet even but goals in the 11th and 20th minutes put a rampant Aghabog team in a strong position at half time with Clones 2-08 to 0-07 in arrears. Clones started the second half strongly with a goal from Fabian Beggan getting them back into the game. Great scores from Adrian Alford and Fabian Beggan were the catalyst to bring the game to extra time, as normal time finished with the game on a knife edge. Extra Time continued to be tight fare with Aghabog going ahead with a goal with a couple of minutes to go. Up stepped Ethan Audley though to grab a late goal and secure the win for Clones. Next up in the Championship will Drumhowan on the 04th of September. Time and Venue to be confirmed. The lads are back in action in the league this Sunday when they play Eire Og in Smithborough at 12.30. Team and scorers: Chris Cadden, Ben Daly, Jake Rehill, Eugene Holland, Ryan Rooney, James Mealiff (0-02), Matthew Newell, Ethan Audley (1-00) , Fabian Beggan (1-03), Colm Connolly, Eoin McQuaid (0-02), Sarto Quigley, Cian O’Connor, Adrian Alford (0-08), Emmett McEntee (0-01). Subs used: Paul Shiels, Eoin Kelly, James Gibson, Dean O’Connor, Luke Rehill.

Please make an effort to support all our teams.
