Clones GFC Club Notes

Lotto Results 18/07/2016

Numbers this week were 15, 22, 25 & 30. Jackpot was 3,600, Winner: None. Lucky Dip winner’s: PJ & Co, C/O Packie Willies; Liam Quigley, No 1 NTB Road; Eoin McKernan, Clonavilla; Jim O’Reilly, Fermanagh Terrace; Marie McGovern, Oak View. Sellers Prize: Packie Willies. U-8 & U-10’s

Will be training on Wednesday nights from 6-7pm in the Peace Link. All are welcome.

U-12’s

Play Tyholland this coming Saturday in Tyholland at 12pm. The lads are currently sitting second in the league and this is their last league game.

U-14’s

Lost out to a strong Cremartin team on Saturday next game is at home to Clontibret on Saturday the 13th of August.

Under 16’s

Had a great win over Clanna Gael (Oram-Toome) in Oram on Thursday evening last and the reward is a place in Championship final v Tyholland. The lads had to come from behind at half time to run out convincing winners.Team Jamie Scott,Simon O Connell,Rigan Graham,Aiden Doherty,Conal Smith,Rian Kierans,Evan Quigley,Kevin Coogan,Alan Corley,Jamie McQuillan,Matiu Monaghan Subs Kevin O Reilly,James Donaghy,Eanna Kilpatrick and Oisin Kierans. Next game is away to Rockcorry on Thursday evening in the league,

Junior B’s League Final

All Roads lead to Drumhowan this Friday evening for the first of two Reserve finals for the Junior B’s. They will play Killany at 7.30pm. There has been a tremendous amount of hard work put in by all the lads this year so hopefully it will be rewarded on Friday night. Best of luck to Sarto, Darragh and all the lads.

Seniors

Play Seans McDermotts in the Junior Football League Cup on Sunday at 2pm in Clones. This will be the first game since the split in the league so the best of luck to the lads in this one. Will be out against Aghabog on Friday the 12th of August in the next round of the Junior Championship.

Condolences

The club would like offer it’s condolences to the McKernan family on the passing of Anne McKernan who passed away last week. Anne passed away suddenly last week and will be sorely missed. Anne’s husband Pat, sons Declan, John, Colm and James and also her grandson Declan have all been involved in the club in various roles over the years and the club would like to extend its sympathies to them as well as the extended McKernan and Rooney families.

Executive Meeting

The next meeting of the executive will be on Wednesday next August 10th at 8.30pm in the Clubrooms.
