JFC Result: Clones 2-16 Aghabog 3-12 AET
We lost out to Clones by the narrowest of margins last Friday night in Emyvale. This was a game were the lads fought to the end but unfortunately a last minute goal for Clones in extra-time saw them emerge victorious and ended our championship for 2016. Please see full match report in sports pages.
Fixture: We are due to play Drumhowan away this Sunday at 12:30pm in the Shield competition.
Sports Day: The club will be hosting our annual Sports weekend on the weekend of 27th / 28th August. On Saturday evening 27th August at 6pm we will have a clay pigeon shoot and everybody is welcome to come and have a go. This will be followed by a treasure hunt. On Sunday 28th August, we will have our sports day which is sure to be a fun day for all the family. Events will start from 12:30pm onwards. There will be a wide variety of events including a new competition this year – Aghabog’s Fittest Townland. Townlands are asked to arrange themselves into teams of 4 to battle it out for this prestigious title. On Sunday evening, our Club Development Draw will take place.
Ticket Selling: As the draw is now only a little over a week away, please put in one final effort to sell as many tickets as possible in the coming days. If you know of anybody who would like a ticket and has not already got one, please contact a committee member.
Minor Semi Final: We were due to play Inniskeen in the Semi Final of the Shield competition on Tuesday last. Please check official fixture list for further details.
Under 16: We are due to play Clan na Gael this evening at 7:30pm in Oram.
Under 14: We are due to play Clones on Saturday 27th August at 12pm in the Shield Semi Final.
Under 12: We are due to play the Seans at 12pm this Saturday 20th August in Aghabog in the Semi Final.
