CLUB RESULTS

SENIORS

Our Seniors had a busy week with 2 league games. We hosted Clontibret on Wednesday evening. Magheracloone 0-15 Clontibret 0-11.

Next up was Carrickmacross on Sunday and as expected this game didn’t dissappoint. While we were slow to start the lads got stronger as the game progressed, Magheracloone went in at the break 1 point up 1-7 to 1-6. Magheracloone settled in the second half with some excellent passages of play, leading to some fine scores. The Mitchells ran out deserving winners on a scoreline of Magheracloone 2-15 Carrickmacross 1-9.Team David Kirk, Paul McArdle, James Lambe, John McMahon, James Ward, Peter Tuite, Jamie Kieran, Micheal Metzger, Paudie Kirk, Killian Rudden, Allan Kieran, Paudie McMahon, Tommy Freeman ans Alan McCahey. U21’S

All roads lead to Killanny this Friday evening at 7:30 as our U21’S take on Donaghmoyne in the Div1 Championship Final. Whishing Tommy, Paudie and team the very best of luck.

MINOR

Magheracloone travelled to Monaghan for the Quarter Final of the Championship on Tuesday. Magheracloone started very strong with 12 minuets on the clock before the Harps registered their first score, then a goal from Harps brought them back into the game. HT Magheracloone 0-11 Harps 1-5. The lads showed nerves of steel, dug deep and went in worthy winners. Well done everyone!! They now meet Corduff in the Semi Final on the 9th of August. Full time score Magheracloone 0-24 Monaghan Harps 1-09. U16’S

Magheracloone were in total control of this game from start to finish. It was the Dylan McCahey show in the first half when he scored a massive 4-4 out of 4-6. Well done to the team and management on a super all round performance. We would like to wish Ryan Farrelly a speedy recovery after an injury he picked up during the game. Final Score: Magheracloone 5-11 Scotstown 0-04. U12’S

Well done also to our U12’S who also beat Emyvale this week on a scoreline of Magheracloone 8-10 Emyvale 2-6.

CÚL CAMP

Magheracloone kicked off the Cúl Camp this week with over 175 children. We hope each child has a very enjoyable week.

WEDDING BELLS

Best wishes to our very own Paudie Finnegan and Emma Freeman who get married this friday. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness together.

CONGRATULATIONS

A massive Congratulations to Tommy and Fiona Freeman on the birth of their beautiful baby girl Kaitlyn from all here at Magheracloone Mitchells.

MOVING ON SPORTS PROGRAMME

Moving On Sports Programme is a free sport and recreation career programme in the Iontas Centre, Castleblayney. The course allows those on social welfare payments gain QQI (FETAC) accreditation including GAA and a welth of coaching qualifications. The course starts on the 22nd of August. The course is free, funded by CMETB, has run for over 18 years, provides free childcare, food and travel allowance.
