Emyvale Club Notes

July 24th, 2016

Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 21st July

Minors: Pride of place this week goes to our Minor Team who put on an awesome display last Tuesday week against Donaghmoyne in the Preliminary Round of the Division 2 Championship. This Donaghmoyne team have not been beaten in the past three years but the Emyvale lads played some lovely football to upset the odds. They trailed by three points at halftime but dug deep in the second half and levelled scores & went ahead but Donaghmoyne levelled and went ahead and the lead changed a few times & it was level going into injury time when Robbie Mc Allister sent over a long range free kick to put them one up & this was followed by another point deep into injury time to win by two points on a score line Emyvale 2:13 Donaghmoyne 1:14. They were due to play Castleblayney on Tuesday evening in the quarter final.

U21s: The U21s suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Carrickmacross last Friday evening. They now play Latton on Wednesday 27th July in Tully at 7.30pm in the Division 2 Semi-final.

Monaghan Electrical Intermediate League: Emyvale play Currin on Sunday next in Scotshouse at 2pm.

Reserve League: Ballybay conceded the points to Emyvale last weekend & so Emyvale finished in fourth place missing out on a semi-final spot as only the top three go through.
