Seniors:

On Sunday last the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football continued for our Senior panel as the lads took on Emyvale at home. This was a free flowing game of football with both sides putting on an excellent game of football for the large crowd in attendance. Thankfully the lads pushed on and got the win to continue their good run of form of late, well done to all. The League continues this week as the lads take on Killanny away from home. See next weeks notes for the result.

Reserves:

This weekend our Reserves return to action as they take on neighbours Castleblayney at home in the Reserve Football Championship O’Duffy Cup Quarter Final. Throw in is at 2 o clock in Pairc Fontenoy this Sunday afternoon. We also face Castleblayney in the league the following Wednesday evening, throw in for that one is at 8 o clock. Get out this week and support our Reserve side as they look to advance in their respective competitions.

Minors:

On Tuesday evening of last week our Minors took on Castleblayney at home. Thankfully the lads had enough in the tank on the night to take the points. Tuesday evening of this week the lads face Clones. See next weeks notes for the result.

U16s:

Our U16 team continued their Divison Two League campaign last Thursday evening when they took on Clontibret at home. This was a very tough, tight encounter, with our lads showing great character to go and grind out the win. They are in action again this Thursday evening when they take on Emyvale away from home. Throw in is at 7.30 in Emyvale on Thursday. Come down and support the lads as they look to

continue their good run of form of late.

U14s:

Both our U14 teams return to action in the league this Saturday afternoon as both teams take on Monaghan Harps at home. Our A team are the first in action and they throw in at 12 o clock.. Our B team follow them with a 1.15 throw in. Come down to the pitch this Saturday to support the whole U14 squad.

U12s:

Our U12 A team continue their league campaign this Saturday afternoon when they take on Emyvale away from home. Throw in is at 12 o clock in Oliver Plunkett Park on Saturday. Make the trip on Saturday to get behind our future stars this weekend.

Mini Fontenoys:

Mini Fontenoys training continues this Saturday between 11-12. The cost is €2 per family, gum shield essential. All new faces are as always more than welcome.

Donaghmoyne GFC Dinner Dance Sunday June 5th:

The time has finally come to celebrate the achievements of the past 12 months as the Donaghmoyne GFC Dinner Dance takes place in the Nuremore Hotel Carrickmacross on Sunday the 5th of June. This promises to be a great night with quality food, craic and entertainment Guaranteed! Reception kicks off at 7.30. Our Double Winning Minor and Reserve Teams are the special guests on the night, along with the various different people receiving personal awards on the night. Entertainment will be provided on the night by Paddy Byrne and ‘The Last Word’. Tickets will cost €25. It takes a lot of hard work to gain success and it is important that we as a club come together and celebrate each and every success, from both on and off the field. So don’t miss the chance to do that and here’s how you can get your ticket. Tickets will be on sale in the clubrooms this Friday the 20th of May and the following Friday the 27th of May between 7 and 8 o clock. Please Spread the Word. Ladies:

Fixtures:

The Senior Reserve team will play Truagh this Saturday the 21st of May in the final of the Spring League. Throw in is at 5 o clock, see official fixtures for venue.

Results:

The U16 team got their season underway with an impressive win over Eire Og on a scoreline of 6-12 to 4-9.

U14s:

The u14 Feile team will be hosting a breakfast morning in Lisdoonan Centre this Sunday the 22nd of May. Come along and have your food served by the stars of the future.

Gaelic for Mothers + Others:

Training continues every Friday evening in the field. All new players are more than welcome.

Rememberence Mass:

The club will be holding a Rememberence Mass for the late Vincent Mc Connell this Saturday evening the 21st of May in St. Lastra’s Church Donaghmoyne at 7.30. All welcome.
