Sean Mc Dermotts Notes

April 13th, 2016

Junior Football League

Last Sunday our away fixture with Scotstown was definitely a game of two halves. Seans got off to a good start leading 5 points to 1 after 10 minutes. However a strong Scotstown team began to grow into the game, capitalising on some poor McDermotts play and led going into half time on a scoreline of 5 points to 6. Scotstown came out the stronger team in the second half rattling the net twice in quick succession. It looked like a very long road back for the men in yellow but the introduction of Damien Larkin and Niall Kearns ignited a Seans comeback, Larkin in particular causing Scotstown all sorts of trouble at the back. A fantastic last 20 minutes saw the Seans dig deep and eventually prevail on a scoreline of 1-16 to 2-10. Next up is Drumhowan away next Sunday at 2.30.
