Lá na gClubanna

Lá na gClubanna is returning this year on Sunday 8th May and our club will be having a celebration day showcasing all that is psoitive about our club. This event will start at 2.30pm and run through the evening until after 5pm. On the day we will be kicking off with a family fun day on the pitch with events for all the family. Members of our senior team will be coaching groups from our underage academy. Inside the complex we will have a Scor exhibition showcasing the history of Scor within the club, Handball coaching sessions and an exhibition game, music from our scor groups. We will also have a BBQ starting at 4pm and medal presentation at 4.30pm for all our winning teams from 2014 and 2015.The event will close with a scor concert at 5pm. Please check our website and social media for full details and running order of the day. This is an event for everyone in our community and we urge everyone to come along.

All Ireland U21 Championship

Commiserations to Conor McCarthy, Conor Forde, Michéal McCarville and Francis Maguire and the Monaghan team in last Saturday’s All Ireland Semi Final loss against Cork.

Co.Monaghan Credit Unions SFL

The senior’s had an excellent 1 point win over Truagh on Sunday 0-14 to 0-13. Their next game is next Tuesday 26th away to Castleblayney at 7.30pm.

Eurotech JFL

The junior’s lost narrowly to Eire Og on Sunday on a score line of 1-20 to 2-14.

Platinum Tanks RFL Division 1A

The reserves play Truagh Wednesday 20th April away at 7.15pm.

MFL Division 1

The minor’s lost to St.Patricks 3-11 to 2-9 last Tuesday. They play Aughnamullen Tuesday 19th at home at 7pm and Truagh on Tuesday 26th away at 7pm.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U16 Division 1

The U16’s defeated Carrickmacross on Thursday 5-6 to 2-8. They have a bye this week and resume with a game on Thursday May 5th at home to Aughnamullen.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U16 Division 3

The U16 development lost to St.Tiarnach Sarsfields last Wednesday. They play Rockcorry this Thursday 21st away at 7pm.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Division 2

The U14’s had an excellent 6-4 to 1-9 win over Carrickmacross in the Championship Semi Final. They now play Clan na Gael (Oram and Toome) in the final this Saturday at 12pm in Blackhill. A trip to Feile in Cork, Kerry and Limerick is the prize for the winners. Please make an effort to support the boys.

The development team have a bye this weekend.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Spring Leagues

Next games are on Wednesday 20th  against Clontibret. The U11’s play in Scotstown at 7pm and the U12s play in Kilmore at 7pm also.

Girls U16

The U16 girls lost to O’Neill Shamrocks last week. Their next game is after the county U16 finishes.

Kellogg’s Cul Camps 2016

This year’s summer camp will take place 25th-29th July in Kilmore. The price for attending the camps will be remaining the same as the last number of years with the first child costing €55, the second child €45 and every child after that €40. To register for the camps you can either do so online or fill in the application form and send it back to the Monaghan GAA Coaching Office with the appropriate fee. Online registration is now open. All you have to do is go to kelloggsculcamp.gaa.ie, find the camp you want to register your child on, fill in the required information and that should be you!

Alternatively, you can download the application form from www.monaghangaa.ie, fill it in and return it to the Monaghan GAA Coaching Offices. You can find the address on the application form .To guarantee your child receiving their kit and backpack during the camp, registration before the 31st of May is essential. In this instance, anyone who registers after this date, we cannot guarantee they will receive their hoodie during the camp but they will receive it at some stage after the camp.

Club Shop

The club shop will open on Friday’s 7-8pm.

Rally

For safety reasons, Kilmore training grounds will be not be accessible from midnight this Saturday 23rd to midnight Sunday 24th due to the Monaghan Stages Rally. Thank you for you co-operation.

Concert

Gala 1916 GAA/Comhaltas Concert in Scotstown GAA Complex this Saturday, 23rd April 2016 at 7:30pm featuring the Oriel Séisiún Group, Dundalk; local Comhaltas members inclusing Comhár (local Siansa Group); plus a guest appearance by Michael Rooney & members of the National Folk Orchestra. The night will also include the launch of the Monaghan County Fleadh. Tickets priced at €10 are available now from McMahon’s Centra or from Pauline Rooney (087-9655031). Everyone welcome!
