All Ireland U21 Championship

Good luck to Conor McCarthy, Conor Forde, Michéal McCarville and Francis Maguire in the All Ireland Semi Final against Cork this Saturday 16th. Throw in is at 4.30pm in Tullamore.

Tydavent Parish Spring Clean Up

The annual spring clean up organised by the local tidy towns groups in association with Monaghan county council takes place this weekend. The Scotstown club has agreed to act as litter ambassadors for the campaign and we would ask all club members, players and supporters to do their bit to help. Contact your local tidy towns members and organise a pick up on your road or townland or help out whatever way you can. Skips will be available in the villages on Saturday 16th April to collect the rubbish collected. So come on, get involved and do your bit to clean up our  parish!

Co.Monaghan Credit Unions SFL

The senior’s lost to Doohamlet 2-9 to 0-14 on Saturday evening. The midweek Carrickmacross game has been cancelled due to the U21 semi final this weekend. They play Truagh at home on Sunday 17th at 4.30pm.

Eurotech JFL

The junior’s lost narrowly to Sean McDermott’s on Sunday on a scoreline of 1-16 to 2-10. They are away to Eire Og this Sunday 17th  at 2pm.

Platinum Tanks RFL Division 1A

The reserves next game is away to Truagh on Wednesday April 20th at 7.15pm.

MFL Division 1

The minor’s started their league campaign with a good 3-13 to 1-9 win over Monaghan Harps on Tuesday. They play St.Patrick’s tonight Tuesday 12th away in Ballybay at 6.30pm.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U16 Division 1

The U16’s defeated Magheracloone on Thursday 5-12 to 2-8. They are away to Carrickmacross this Thursday 14thApril at 7pm.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U16 Division 3

The U16 development team begin their league campaign on Wednesday 13th at home to St.Tiarnach Sarsfields at 7pm.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Division 2

The U14’s had an excellent 6-11 to 1-6 win over Truagh in the Championship Quarter Final. They now play Carrickmacross in the semi final this Saturday at 4pm. Clan na Gael await the winners in the final.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Division 5

The development team lost to Latton on Saturday 5-5 to 3-3.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Spring Leagues

Next games are on Saturday 16th at 11am and 12.15pm against Clontibret at home.

Ladies Spring League

The ladies lost to Magheracloone on Sunday.

Girls U16

The U16 girls have their first match of the year at home to O’Neill Shamrocks tonight Tues 12th at 7pm at home.

Foundation Course

The club is holding a Foundation GAA coaching course. The following are the dates; Monday 11th April – Online Intro (45mins) , Monday 18th April (7pm – 10pm) – Child Protection Module , Thursday 21st April (either 6.30pm – 10pm or 7pm – 10.30pm) . All coaches would have to have the online modules complete before they complete the practical module on the 21st April.  Please contact David McCague if you are interested on (087) 620 2242.

Kellogg’s Cul Camps 2016

This year’s summer camp will take place 25th-29th July in Kilmore. The price for attending the camps will be remaining the same as the last number of years with the first child costing €55, the second child €45 and every child after that €40. To register for the camps you can either do so online or fill in the application form and send it back to the Monaghan GAA Coaching Office with the appropriate fee. Online registration is now open. All you have to do is go to kelloggsculcamp.gaa.ie, find the camp you want to register your child on, fill in the required information and that should be you! Alternatively, you can download the application form fromwww.monaghangaa.ie, fill it in and return it to the Monaghan GAA Coaching Offices. You can find the address on the application form .To guarantee your child receiving their kit and backpack during the camp, registration before the 31st of May is essential. In this instance, anyone who registers after this date, we cannot guarantee they will receive their hoodie during the camp but they will receive it at some stage after the camp.
