U14’s

The U14’s made the short journey to Magheracloone on Saturday last.
Playing with the aid of the wind in the first half the Killanny boys were quick to settle and opened up an early lead against their hosts. The midfield partnership of David Leegan and Kyle Connolly were on top through out and ensured the Killanny fowards had a plentiful supply of ball. In attack James Callan and John Gartlan tormentmented their markers while Daire O’Shea, Cillian McConnon and Ciaran Walsh all kicked some great scores. In the second half KIllanny maintained their hold on the game.
At the back Cian Burns and Ciaran O’Reilly never put a foot wrong while Mark Lambe between the posts was Cluxton like in his kickouts. The half back back line of Jack Guinan, Oisin Burns and Cian McNulty all were impressive and as a unit worked tirelessly throughout. James Finnegan and Michael Grimes all made a contribution when introduced. In the end Killanny ran out comfortable winners.
The management of Lornie, Martin and Ronan will have been well pleased with how their team performed but will know bigger tests lie ahead.
