On Wednesday past just under a 100 hundred children took part in the first U8 / 10 Hurling Go Games blitz in Cloghan. Castleblayney, Carrick, Clontibret and Mullabawn from Armagh where the 4 clubs that took part. As highlighted this was the first blitz of the year, we plan to organise 5 blitzes in total and the dates are as follows; 13th May, 17th June, 22nd July, 12th August, 2nd Sept, these blitzes are due to take place on Wednesday nights. We hope to build on last night and increase the participants and clubs that take part in the blitzes over the coming months.

Monaghan Coaching & Games would like to thank the clubs & mentors for attending and supporting the blitz. Additionally the parents, players and referees for making the blitz a success. Finally I would like to thank Ann McKenna (Monaghan Coaching & Staff) for assisting in organising the blitz and to Pauric Dowdall & Ryan Gavney Ulster Regional Development Officers for co-ordinating the blitz on the night and their continued support in developing Hurling within Monaghan.
