Junior B’s

The Junior B’s had a great win over Oram in the Peace Link on Saturday night. The game was played with a very strong wind blowing into the town goal. Playing into the wind in the first half the lads played some great football to go in at the break 2-03 to 0-03 up. Goals from Dean O’Connor and Emmet McEntee were the highlight of the first half. The lads also put in a strong second half showing to run out eventual winners on a scoreline of 3-08 to 1-05 with the other goal coming from Cian O’Connor. The lads continue in the League this Saturday at 6.30pm against Carrickmacross in Carrick

Seniors

Had a good runout on Friday night against Newtownbutler on Friday night next for them is a visit to Toome on the 10th of April.

To James Mealiff and the Monaghan U-21’s who were in action last night in the Ulster Championship Semi final against Armagh.

Also to Fabian Beggan and the Monaghan Minors who had another good win against Armagh on Saturday last in Armagh. This Saturday sees them take on Cavan in Clones at 12pm. Make sure to get out and support Fabian and the lads.

Also to the Monaghan Senior team who face Donegal in a winner takes all fixture in Castleblaney this coming Sunday. Fintan and the lads will be hoping to secure Division 1 football for next Season. We all know the potential this group of players have so hopefully they can reach this Sunday and in the process return to winning ways.

Registration

Membership is now due before the end of March. If you have not been registered before that you cannot be a full member for 2016. This includes voting at the AGM. Please get your membership to Registrar Tom Kelly or any executive member before the end of March. Juvenile members up to U-18 are €5, Adult member is €10 and Adult Player member is €20, Family membership is €25.
