Seniors

Thanks a million to Castleblayney Faughs Club for the use of their facilities on Sunday last.  We entertained a very strong Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon Team.  The game started at a very strong pace with Fergal Rafter scoring the first of his brace of 11 points overall.  Brian McGuigan and Aaron Kenny getting on top in midfield.  Paddy Finnegan and Jim McHugh were outstanding at centre backs.  Paddy Collins had his first game in goals and didn’t put a foot wrong.  Eoin Leonard and Brian Connolly held the corners and Wayne Funcheon had his best game ever at left half back.  Fintan Finnegan, Gerry Brady and Mark Treanor, Mark with two great points pressed the opposition continuosly with Fergal Rafter running out Man of the Match with 11 points.  In the second half Brian Flanagan was also playing a blinder at half back but unfortunately substained and injury and had to go off.  Conor Mc Nally battled hard and was very unlucky not to score.  Pauric Malone at corner forward scored a brilliant point just when the Donegal Team started to get back into it.  Subs Alan Duffy, Daniel Shevlin and Niall Flanagan all did really well when introduced.  With three wins under our belts the lads are doing well.  We wish Brain Flanagan a speeedy recovery on his injury, Best wishes from all the lads.
Final score was Blayney 0-14 to Ballyshannon 0-8
The Reserve League starts Thursday evening in Concra at 7.15pm.  Lets hope Concra has dried out for tonights game against Monahan Harps.  All players to be at the pitch for 6.30pm
