Bingo: Just a quick note to remind everyone that the club’s weekly Bingo takes place every Tuesday night at 9pm in the clubhouse. The bingo is a great opportunity for the community to come together midweek and have a good night while maybe even winning a few bob. This is a fundamental part of the club’s fund raising for day-to-day costs and we would all really appreciate if you, your friends or your family could support this if you can at all. And, don’t forget, there is transport available to the centre. Every week, our volunteers go to great efforts to keep this going so that all of the other voluntary members of the club have a good starting platform. Hope to see some new faces tomorrow night and over the coming weeks!

Results: On Saturday evening last the reserves suffered a bad defeat to near neighbours Aughnamullan. In very cold wet conditions Ballybay started the brighter on the two sides and where 1-2 to no score up after the opening exchanges, the goal coming from a brilliant effort from Daniel Brennan. Aughnamullan soon settled and took full control of the game from there on, dominating exchanges around the middle third of the field. Ballybay had to reshuffle the pack when they lost Hugh Malone through injury, his presence and strength a major loss to the side. The home side tried as best they could but the visitors always had the extra scores on the board and Ballybay could just never get close enough. Full time score Ballybay 2-4 Aughnamullan 3-11. Ballybay team: Brian McCabe, Niall Duffy, Evan Rutledge, Mark McArdle, Eoin McKearney, Michael Hannon, Cathal Mooney, Conor Hand, Danny Gorman, Patrick O’Neil, Hugh Malone, James Kerr, Conor Sherry, Cormac Duffy, Daniel Brennan, Darren Smyth, Barry Lennon & Mantas Pankinas.

Congratulations to Daniel Brennan who made his first senior start for the Ballybay senior setup on Saturday last, scoring the teams opening goal with a brilliant effort to the bottom corner.
