In the middle of February Monaghan Coaching & Games organised their 2^nd Fun-Fives blitz of the year. This time the blitz was for 2^nd class boys and girls. Just like the first blitz, it was split into two regions; a north region and a south region. The south venue was the Phoenix Centre in Carrickmacross and the north venue was Scotstow GAA Sports complex. Thirteen schools, which included 24 teams and 210 players took part in the southern regional blitz while 11 school, 18 teams and 180 players took part in the northern regional blitz. Each blitz last 2 hours and each team got to play roughly 50 minutes of gaelic football. In total just under 400 children took part in the blitz. A big thank you to all the schools that attended the blitzes and also a huge thanks to the two venues for hosting the blitzes. Finally, we would just like to thank the referees who helped out as well over the two days. After the Easter holidays, a number of other blitzes and skill competitions will be organised, details as of which will be released closer to the time.
