Cill Laobhain 1.13 V 1.07 Achadh Bog. Home game against Aghabog, Páirc na Sáirséalaigh Sunday 20th.

Fantastic start to the senior season with win over near neighbor’s Achadh Bog. Played in glorious conditions Cill Laobhain would see themselves behind only once in the game as Aghabog took an early free to open the scoring with a point. After that it was pretty much all Killeevan who led 1.08 v 0.03 at half time. An early burst by the visitors at the start of the second half cut the difference to 1.09 v 1.05. But for a brilliant penalty save by Adam Langan in the Killeevan goal things may have been so much tighter. However Cill Laobhain buoyed by that save dug deep and kept the score board ticking over with points form play and frees. Impossible to pick any Killeevan player out as it was an outstanding team performance. Maith sibh uilig. Mar a deireann siad, tús maith leath na hoibre.

Keep free Saturday the 2nd of April for the club’s flag day (bucket collection) in Monaghan, Clones and Newbliss.
