Seniors.
Our seniors began the year with Round 1 of the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League away to Tyholland on Sunday last. With a number of injuries going into this game this was always going to be more about the performance than the result. We started tentatively and allowed the home side gain the initiative and we found ourselves behind at half time on a 2-6 to 0-3, score-line. A much improved second half display with Enda Mc Caffrey leading the way with some superb scores. Our second half control saw us outscore the opposition by 0-8 to 0-3. This second half display gives great heart for the season ahead. Final score, Tyholland, 2-11, Currin, 0-12. Team, Fergal Connolly, Colm Mc Caffrey, Paul Rudden, Paddy Mc Dermott, Cian North, Sean Brady, Dara Brady, Ciaran Mc Caffrey, Eoin Morrow, Dylan Greenan, Ronan King, Jason Mc Kiernan, Hughie Rielly, Enda Mc Caffrey, Ben Clerkin. Subs, Damien Connolly, Conor Beattie, Mark Murphy. Our next game will be on Saturday 9th April and sees the start of four game in two weeks.
