Seniors.

The senior panel had another good run out on Sunday morning in Threemilehouse, against the Sean’s. There was a big welcome back for Paddy Mc Dermott to competitive action with an outstanding performance at the heart of defence. This also marked the return of Ben Clerkin who is still in the process of recovering from his A.C.L. injury. Ben made his appearance in the second half gathering numerous breaks around the midfield area. Training continues as usual.

1916 celebrations.

Currin G.F.C. plan to participate in the upcoming 1916 celebrations. The proposed event will see a team of five local historians deliver a series of talks, held on one evening in the local community centre. The talks will focus on life and events in and around our locality in the 1916 period. Further details will follow later. If anyone has any memorabilia from the period this would be

appreciated. Anyone who would like to get involved should contact any committee member or Fintan Mc Philips directly.

Recent bereavements,

Currin G.F.C. would like to sympathise with the Mc Caul family, on the recent death of Sean Mc Caul, Legakelly, Redhills, R.I.P. We would like to offer our condolences to his extended family and friends. We in Currin would also like to offer our sympathy to Danny Mc Carney, Principal of St Enda’s N.S. on the recent death of his aunt Brigid Maguire, Clones, R.I.P.

The local community in Scotshouse was shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Frances Connaughton (nee Boylan), Dunsrim, Scotshouse, on Monday last. Currin G.F.C. extend our sympathy to her family and many friends. Go ndeana Dia trochaire ar a ainm dilis.
