LOTTO  RESULTS: Lotto Results for Sunday last. Numbers drawn were 01,03, 17 & 27. There was no winner. Next weeks Jackpot now stands at €3,700. House Draw Winners: Simon Geoghegan, Ryan Bannagan & Angela Geoghegan Duffy. Lucky Draw Winners: Cheryl Flannagan, Liam O’Neill, Seamus Quinn, Flannagan Family, Sean Moffet, Lauren & Caoimhe Brady and Tony Ward.
Next weeks team: 
Paddy & Ann Flannagan, RoseMary Johnston & Edel Mc Mahon. Lotto teams that cannot do their night must organize someone to fill their space. 
 
SENIORS: Our seniors played their 1st game in Round 1 of the Intermediate League on this Sunday last away to Corduff. Aughnamullen got off to a great start helped with an early goal from Chris Keenan. Corduff came back strong towards the end of the first half to reduce the lead to 1-5 to 0-7 at HT. A good second half performance from Aughnamullen who came from behind towards the end of the second half to earn a draw and points on the board on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-13. Next game is home against Inniskeen on Friday the 8th of April at 8pm. All support welcome. Training continues as usual on Wednesday & Friday nights. Everyone are requested to attend.
 
JUNIOR B’S: Next game is away to Cremartin on this Saturday the 26th of March at 2pm. Training continues as usual on Wednesday & Friday nights . Everyone are requested to attend.
 
MINORS: Our Minor Boys are training and preparing hard and putting the commitment in with a full turn out at all training. Keep up the hard work boys. First game is home against St. Pats on Tuesday the 5th of April at 6.30pm.
 
CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to our local lad Micheál Bannigan who was elected Team Captain for the County minor team for the coming year. Our Club would like to wish  Micheál and the Team the best of luck in 2016.  
 
BEST  WISHES: 

Well done and best wishes to Thomas Marron on his achievements to date were he has already picked up a Mac Larron winners Medal and plays this Saturday in Longford in the Paddy McGirr All Ireland Cup Final and is due to contest in another All Ireland Semi-final next week with the Patrician High School Carrickmacross. 

 
JUVENILES:
U16’s: Our U16’s play thier 1st game of the season on Thursday next the 31st of March away to Inniskeen at 6.30pm. Come out and support our young team.
U14’s: Our U14’s play their 1st game away to Cremartin on Saturday the 26th of March at 2pm.
U12’s:
SPRING  LEAGUE: Our boys played their 1st game in the spring league on Saturday last  against Truagh on a score line of Aughnamullen (2-2) To Truagh (6-7). It just wasn’t to be on the day but their next game is on  Come out and support this young team.
U10’s & U6’s:

Training for our Juveniles from Under 10’s to 6’s recommence this Saturday at 9:30 am can all coaches ensure they are available? Our Under 6’s will be out shortly.

U8’s:  U8’s: are back up and running for another year anybody who did not receive a text and should have please contact Shane on 0874131690 or Paddy on 0872679471 and we will add your number to text list.
USE  OF  FIELD:  To keep up the good condition of both the fields Anyone looking or wishing to use any of the fields for games or training MUST have confirmation from  Ian Johnston 1st on 0877974423. Thanking you.
THANK  YOU: A big thank you to Aidan Flanagan & John Keenan who offered up their time and service to reseed both the football fields. Its very much appreciated. Also to John Sheridan for rowing both the football fields.

ANNUAL  DINNER  DANCE:

A great night had by all at our Annual Dinner Dance Last Wednesday night 16th March.  Our Hall of fame recipients were the well know Mooney Brothers Bernard, Sean and Brendan all of these men have served the Aughnmullen Club just not with their football abilities but served as officers of the club in numerous positions down through the years,  Aughnamullen GFC committee would like to take this opportunity on congratulating them and wish every success in the future.

Our 1991 Hackett Cup winners team were also honoured on the night it doesn’t seem like 25 years ago this team brought Aughnamullen to Senior ranks, some of this team weren’t present on the night but were deeply remember throughout the speeches on passing before their time namely the late Owen Bannigan and Gerard Forde both whom had a large family presence on the night.

A huge thank you to all whom supported our annual dinner dance and awards night and we hope to have your continued support for the coming year.

The Club would also like to thank the sponsors Frank Marron, Rosemary Johnston (Gifts & Things) for the raffle on the night and a donation from O’Reilly Oakstown Ltd.

CAR  WASH:  

Car wash that due to take place on Saturday 26th of April has been rescheduled until a later date.

Easter Monday Coffee Morning :
Brendan & Mary Mc Skeane, Tusker are hosting a coffee morning in their home on Easter Monday from 10am to 3pm. All prpceeds go towards Castleblayney Cancer Society. Everyone is welcome and your support would be greatly appreciated.
 
FUN, RUN, WALK:
THANK  YOU:  Huge thank you to all those who took part in Operation Transformation 5k walk/run on Saturday last which was held in memory of the late Teresa Mc Ardle. We raised €4417.95 for Ballybay Cancer Care. Thank you to the members of our football team who helped with the stewarding. Thanks to Paul Hughes who was on hand with his motorbike to assist if anyone ran into difficulty.To Anthony Connolly who assisted with traffic control and to all those who baked and bought foosies!! .Thanks to the ladies who helped with the tea and the wash up and a special thanks to Rosemary and Ian Johnston (Gifts and Things Carrickmacross) for providing all the disposable items. Thanks to Mary Byrne & Joe Mc Cudden the photographers. This was another great community effort and and all for a very worthy cause.

BIRTHS: Congratulations to Damien & Linda Connolly on the birth of their baby Girl recently. Also to Irean Megan & Tom Mc Connell on the birth of their baby Girl. Also to Colm & Danielle Reyburn on the birth of their baby girl. Another up and coming player for Aughnamullen.  
 
SYMPATHY: Sympathy extended to Kathleen O Byrne on the death of her sister in law Julie Bonner, Birmingham. May God have mercy on her soul.
