Scotstown Presentation Night

A big thank you to everyone who attended our presentation night on Saturday in the Sports Complex. Thank you also to everyone who was involved in the planning and of the event and contributed in any way. The following awards were presented on the night; Ladies Player of the Year – Lisa Sherlock; Reserve Player of the Year – Dermot McCrudden; Junior Player of the Year – Cian Mohan; and a Joint Senior Player Award going to Francis Caulfield and Damien McArdle. Special Merit awards were presented to Sean McCague, Brendan Mohan and Liam Stirrit. Damian Treanor received a special presentation also for his contribution and help with the senior team.

Juvenile Presentation

Unfortunately this has been put on hold and will not take place at this weekend’s registration night as previously advertised. It will now take place in March.

Ladies Spring League

The ladies reserve team are playing Magheracloone Sunday at 12pm away in Magheracloone.

Adult League Start Dates

The Senior and Junior leagues will commence on Sunday 21st March. The Reserve O’Duffy cup team will play their first league game on Sunday March 13th. The minors league will start on Tuesday April 5th.

Juvenile Start Dates

The Under 12 Football Spring League starts on Saturday 19th March for all zones, with a throw in time of 2pm. The Under 12 Spring League Finals are scheduled for Monday May 2nd. The Under 14 league starts on Saturday 12th March for our Division 2 team with a throw in time of 2pm.The Under 14 Div 2 Championship (Feile) – Quarter Final against Truagh will take place on Monday 4th April with a throw in time of 6:15pm. The Under 14 Development Division 5 team start their league on Saturday 26thMarch, with a throw in time of 2pm. They have been drawn against Emyvale B in the championship. The Under 16 Division 1 starts on Thursday 31st March. They have been drawn against Carrickamcross in the championship. The Under 16 Division 3 team start their football competition on Thursday 14th April and have been drawn against Clan Na Gael (Oram and Toome) in the championship.

O’Duffy Cup

Our Reserve team has been drawn against Donaghmoyne in the O’Duffy Cup Preliminary round with the winners facing Castleblayney in the Quarter Final.

Ciorcal Gaelige

Membership

The club is holding its juvenile registration night on Friday 26th February. The rates are same as last year and are as follows; Non Playing Member €30, Adult Playing Member (Over 18) €30, Youth Playing Member (12-18) €20, Academy Member (1st Child) €20, Academy Member (2nd and 3rd child in Family) €10, Family Membership (2 Parents + 1 Child) €65, Family Membership (2 Parents + 2 Children) €70, Family Membership (2 Parents + 3 or More Children) €75. Please note, an Academy Member is a child playing U8 and U10. This year the Family Membership offers that if two parents register, they will get a reduced rate of €5 for each child.

Sigerson and Trench Cup

Well done to Conor McCarthy who was on the winning UCD team which lifted the Sigerson Cup last weekend in Jordanstown and also to Caolan McElwaine who was part of the Dundalk IT panel which claimed the Trench Cup.

Club Shop

The club shop is open Friday evenings 7-8pm.

Ciste Nua

This month’s Ciste draw will take place on Saturday night in the clubhouse, make sure and support.
