Youth Affairs

Presentations

Well done to all who were involved in the presentation of medals and trophies on Sunday morning last in the Community centre Scotshouse. Congratulations to all the players and mentors of Patrick Emmett’s who had unprecedented success at U-14, U-16 and Minor level in 2015. Also presented were the equally successful Patrick Sarsfield U-12 team. We were delighted that our own two Ulster senior championship winners, Dick Clerkin and Jack Mc Carron, were joined by Ryan Wylie to make the presentations to the successful teams and players. Club Chairman, John Connolly, welcomed the big turnout of parents and supporters and acted as M.C. for the very efficient proceedings. He congratulated all involved in this very successful amalgamation between Currin and Aghabog, paying tribute to the mentors of all the teams. Damien Murphy, Chairman of Aghabog, also congratulated all who were involved in the very successful year and looked forward to the continuing good relationship between the two clubs. A big thank you to all the organising committee, particularly Fintan Mc Philips, our Youth officer, and all the members who provided the very welcome refreshments.

Senior team

Our senior team training continues. The ‘exotic warm weather’ training on Sunday mornings is drawing to an end and it has also been learned that the Intermediate Football League will begin on the weekend of the 20th March with no actual fixtures confirmed.
