LOTTO:  There was no winner of last week’s jackpot prize of €2800.  The numbers drawn were 5, 16, 17 and 21.  1 Match 3 winner – Pauric McAnenly, Mullinderg.  Seller’s prize Brian McKenna (Yearly) and Jack’s (Weekly).  Next week’s jackpot is €3000.

Club Development Plan Workshop: The club have started work on developing a strategic plan that will guide development for the next 5 years.  An important step in this process is the Club Planning Workshop, where we are inviting all club members to attend a facilitated open night on all aspects of club activity.  Keep free Friday 5th February.

1975/1995 Celebration Dinner has been rescheduled to Sat 6th February 2016 when we will honour the 1975 Owen Ward Cup winning team and the 1995 Intermediate Championship winning team at a Celebration Dinner in St. Mellans.  Live music on the night.  Tickets are on sale from Bronagh 0876749872.

Presentation Night:  Our Annual Presentation has been changed from Fri 29th January, and will now take place on Fri 26th February in St Mellans.

Scor:  Congratulations to our Leiriu group who were successful in the County Finals of Scor Sinsir.  They now go on to represent Monaghan in the Ulster semi-finals.  Also well done to all who part.

Fun Table Quiz in St Mellans this Friday 29th January for Uganda Mission Appeal and volunteer Noeleen Loughran who returns to Uganda shortly.  Assemble 8.30 for 9 pm start.  Prizes for best primary, secondary and adult teams.  All support appreciated.

Ladies: Thanks to all who turned up to the clubs AGM on Friday night. We would like to congratulate our new Chairperson Frank McKenna and to express our gratitute to Aidan Treanor, Chairperson and Vanessa Treanor, Secetary for the superb work and time the provided to the club throughout the year. No doubt Frank and our new Secetary, Rachel McKenna, will indeed put in the same commitment. Also congrats to Barbara Treanor, Shauna McAree, Natasha Mohan, Laurean Treanor, Rebecca McKenna, Vanessa Treanor, Damien Heferty and Peter Magaheran our other appointed committee members.
Keep free Sunday the 7th of February as we hope to hold a registration evening followed by our juvienelle and senior presentations.

Hurling:  Indoor hurling training for U-10s and beginners boys and girls resumes in Carrickroe Community Centre this Friday 29th January at new time of 7-8pm.

Liathroid Laimhe.

Juvenile County Doubles Championships. Our remaining represenitvies in the Juvenile County Doubles competition took to the alley Saturday past the 23rd in St.Mellans, Packie Mc Meel & Ryan Boyle proved too strong for the chasing pack as they took the title where they defeated Niall Corrigan & Bradley Maguire from Tydavnet in the final, the first game was a good tight game and possibly could have went anyway but the boys won it 15-13, in the 2nd Packie’s kills and serve just couldn’t be lived with and they took it 15-6, well done boys.
Cumann Na Bunscoil. Good luck to all our club members as the national schools throughout the county take part in the Cumann Na Bunscoil competition this Wednesday the 27th (Past), hope all enjoys the experience as sometimes this is the first experience that some have of the sport.
Adult County Single Championships. Good luck to all remaining players in the county championship, please ensure that all games are fulfilled, if a serious problem arises and a fixture can’t be fulfilled then you must contact the club secretary “Brendie” and then he will make contact with the county secretary to re-fix the game, “Do not leave a player standing in the alley waiting on YOU”.
Mono League. The Mono League is drawn up and will commence Tuesday coming the 2nd of February, we will only using the block alley for the first 3 weeks of play and then hopefully we will have full access to both alleys for the remainder of the League, good luck to all playing in the league in this commemorative year 2016, so good luck to all in team “Pearse”, “Plunkett”, “Clarke”, “Connolly”, “Mc Diarmada”, “Mc Donagh” and team “Ceannt”.
Table Quiz. We will be holding our annual table quiz on Friday night March the 4th in St.Mellans @ 9pm with all proceeds being donated to Gaeil Triucha for the further refurbishing of the viewing area at the glass alley, all support very much appreciated.
