Ciste Nua
The club is launching the Ciste Nua this weekend.The top prize has been changed from €700 to €1000 and will also include 5 x €100 winners. There are also multiple buying options which include Annual tickets, Bi Annually and monthly. The first draw will take place this Sunday 31st Jan.

National Club Draw
The deadline for the National Club Draw is fast approaching – money and tickets (used and unused) should be returned to Treasurer Kevin Keenan as soon as possible.

Allianz National Football League
Good luck to the Monaghan team and management as they begin their league campaign away to Roscommon in Kiltoom on Sunday. Throw in at 2pm.

Co.Monaghan GAA Awards Night 2016
The Co.Monaghan GAA awards night was held on Friday night in the Hillgrove Hotel. Darren Hughes received his Senior Club Player of the Year award whilst Shane Carey received Young Player of the Year. John Heaphey received a Special Merit Award also on the evening.

Monaghan Ladies
Well done to our own club players to have made following Monaghan ladies teams. Minor – Megan Boylan, Celine Nally and Tara Keenan. U16 – Hannah Sherlock, Blaithin Dolan and Laura Nally. U14 – Amy Monahan and Riona Kilpatrick. Good luck to the Monaghan Senior Ladies team who start their league campaign also at home to Armagh in Emyvale on Sunday.

Scotstown Presentation Night
Scotstown GAA will hold its senior presentation night on Sat 20th February in the complex. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

Juvenile Presentation
There will be a presentation evening for 2015’s successful U14 boys team and U16 girls team.2014’s U14 boys team will also be presented with their medals. Players will all be notified beforehand. Date has yet to be confirmed but will take place in early February.

Strategic Plan

Membership
Damian Mohan will be collecting club membership this weekend. You can pay after mass Friday evening in Knockatallon in the Sliabh Beagh Hotel, after mass Sunday morning in Jacks Bar, Tydavnet and in the complex after mass in Urbleshanny.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of the framed pictures of the past Chairpersons, Secretaries and Treasurer’s that once hung in the Complex reception could they please contact Cormac on 087-6504979.

Monaghan GAA Coach Education
During February & March, Monaghan Coaching & Games will be once again running a range of Coach Education Courses at Foundation and Level One. Please see as follows for dates and venues for the courses that we will be running.  Foundation Award 26th/ 27th February  Venue: Magheracloone (Football), 4th/ 5th March  Venue: Cloghan (Football & Hurling),  11th/ 12th March  Venue: Ballybay (Football).  Level One – 5th/ 6th February Venue: Cloghan (Child),  12th/ 13th/ 14th February Venue: Cloghan (Youth/ Adult).  If anyone is interested in attending these please contact our coaching officer David on 087-6202242. It is important that our coaching continue to educate themselves on an ongoing basis.

Monaghan GAA Coaching Workshops
Monaghan Coaching & Games in conjunction with Ulster GAA will be running the following workshop – DEFENSIVE/ ATTACKING SYSTEMS AND STRATEGIES Date: Monday 1st February  Time: 7.30pm – 9pm  Venue: Cloghan.

AIB All Ireland Junior Club Semi Final
Hard luck to Rockcorry in the All Ireland Junior semi final last Sunday when they were defeated by Ardnaree Sarsfields of Mayo.
