Magheracloone Notes

U21’S

Last weekend our U21’s made the longjourney to Creggan in Antrim to compete in the Paddy McLaron Ulster Championship. This was the first taste of Ulster football for most of our lads and they didn’t disappoint. In conditions that tested them they battled hard andto the end. A first half penalty save by Jack Kirk got the Magheracloone players completely revved up and from then on they took control of the game. Magheracloone went two points up at half time. The first draw of the game came after forty-eight minutes and at that stage the game could have went either way. However the Mitchells fought hard and dug deep and emerged victorious on a score line of 0:11 to 0:07. This was a great victory for the lads and team management. A huge thank you also has to go to all the supporters who travelled to Creggan to support this group of lads on Saturday, it’s greatly appreciated by the club and players. We hope to see you all again at the semi-final!. The semi-final will be played on the 6th of February against Glen (Watty Graham’s), time to be confirmed.
