Killeevan Notes

Fógra Tabhachtach/Important Notice Uath-Dhífhibrileoirí Seachtracha/Automated External Defibrillators. There are TWO Automated External Defibrillators or ‘A.E.D’s’ in the local area. One is located on the wall outside the double door entrance to the Acorn Centre. A key is available inside the hall or if the hall is not open from Martins shop. Alternatively, if both are closed, by contacting Fabiola Martin or an Acorn committee member. The second A.E.D. is located at KilleevanGAA pitch, Páirc na Sáirséalaigh. It is on the inside wall of the main stand (Astro pitch side). It has the key prominently placed beside the A.E.D box and as such is available at all times. Go raibh maith agaibh.

Ballraíocht/Club Membership

Tá sé in am anois clárú leis an chlub fá choinne 2016. It’s that time again to once again to register your membership with the club for 2016. An Cláraitheoir Kevin Quail will be doing the rounds in the coming weeks.

Cúrsa don scrudú béál/Oral Irish course.

Tá Cumann Peile na Sáirséalaigh Cill Laobhain i gcomhar le Cumann Forbartha Crois Uí Ghrianáin ag eagrú an cúrsa seo fá choinne daltaí an 6ú bliain. Killeevan GAA in conjunction with Greenan’s Cross Development Association are organising a course to help 6th year students prepare for their Leaving Certificate Oral Irish exam. Anyone interested in attending please contact Brian on 0868078984 or bmacuaid@gmail.com

Ranganna Ghaeilge/Irish Classes.

Tá Cumann Peile na Sáirséalaigh Cill Laobhain ag eagrú ranganna Ghaeilge ag tosnú deaireadh mí Éanair. There will be night classes in conversational Irish starting at the end of January. Anyone interested in attending please contact Brian on 0868078984 or bmacuaid@gmail.com in the next 2 weeks. Exact dates/times etc will be confirmed should there be sufficient interest.

Club na mBán/Ladies Club

Traenáil/Training.

Tá traenáil fá choinne na aois grupaí thíos. Indoor training continues on Friday evenings in the Acorn Center as follows : U8 & U10 girls from 7:30 – 8:15 U12 , U14 , U16 and Minors 8:30 – 9:30. Cost €2 Any new girls interested in joining, please feel free to come and along. Beidh fáilte mór roimh aon cailíní nua.

Dlúthdhioscaí/Centenary C.D’s

Tá dlúthdhioscaí ar fail anois. Two commemorative C.D’s are on sale now. One containing pictures from the Centenary Day celebrations and one from the slide show of Killeevan over the years (shown at the Gala Ball) They are €5 each. Contact Caroiline Larmer. Ciorcal Comhrá/Conversation Circle.
