Ulster Club SFC

It was a proud day for the club on Sunday afternoon when we dethroned the reigning Ulster champions Slaughtneil in Clones on a scoreline of 1-15 to 0-15. We now move on to the semi final where we will face the Tyrone champions Trillick on Sunday November 15th. Time and Venue TBC.

 

Co. Monaghan Credit Unions SFL

The seniors are scheduled to play Magheracloone in the semi final of the league this weekend. Details TBC. Please check twitter and facebook throughout the week.

 

AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Scotstown GAA will take place in the Meeting Room at the Complex on Friday, November 27th at 8pm sharp. Nominations and motions will be accepted by the Secretary from Full Members with up to date membership (paid on or before March 31st 2015) by the closing date of 6pm this Friday, November 6th 2015.

Monaghan GAA Coaching Conference

Monaghan GAA wil hold a coaching conference on November 7th in Our Lady’s Secondary School, Castleblayney starting at 8.45am. Can all coaches please attend. If you are attending please contact coaching officer David McCague on 087 620 2242.

 

Child Protection Courses

Monaghan GAA will be holding two Child Protection courses in Cloghan in the coming weeks. The first will be held on Wednesday 18 November running from 7-10pm. A second course will be held on Wednesday 25 November, 7-10pm. This is subject to sufficient numbers. Cost per person is €10. It is recommended that all those who are involved within GAA clubs have completed a child protection course and this should be repeated every three years. This includes all coaches, committee members, referees, groundsmen, bus drivers and anyone else who may have direct contact with children.

 

Handball

The Anthony Cadden / Cathal Higgins memorial handball tournament takes place this weekend in the Scotstown complex. Will all players please ensure to play their games at the allotted time.
