Monaghan Master’s Team that played Mayo in early September

Monaghan Master’s Team will play in the Master’s Shield Final that will take place  in Fr. Manning Gaels Club, Monaduff, Drumlish, Co. Longford , tomorrow  Saturday 7th November. Westmeath will be the opposition and they progressed to the Shield Masters final with a 1-17 to 1-13 (replay) win over Antrim last Saturday.  Monaghan had a victory over Longford when they overcame them in the semi-final on the 24th of October on a 1-15 to 2-6 scoreline.

The Monaghan management team consists of Darren Greenan, Colin Mc Caughey who also acts as captain and Brian Conlon and the team have improved as the season progressed and as the panel grew. The starting 15 will picked from the following panel

Westmeath face Monaghan at 1.15pm, followed by the  cup final between Galway and Tyrone at 3.15pm.
