In the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan on Monday 2nd November 2015 the Monaghan senior team, management and backroom team were honoured at  a Civic Reception by Monaghan County Council. In attendance were members  of the Co. Monaghan senior team, management and backroom team as guests of honour Also present were officials of the Co. Board and Council, Chief Executive of the Council Adge King, Council Chairperson Noel Keelan, various elected members of the Co. Council, T.D. Caoimhghín O’ Caoláin and Minister for the Arts, Culture and Gaeltacht Heather Humphries.

The master of the ceremonies on the night was Carmel Thornton, administrative officer in Corporate Services. She welcomed everyone for coming and introduced Council Chairman Noel Keelan to the audience who then proceeded to congratulate the team for the summer of enjoyment they gave to the people of Monaghan. Next up was Chief Executive Adge King followed by Co. Board Chairperson Pádraig Sherry who thanked the Council for the financial support they give to GAA within the county which enables the Co. Board to employ coaching and games staff. Finally Manager Malachy O’ Rourke thanked the Council for the Civic Reception and the players for the effort they put in and how they are  ambassadors for the county.
