Presentation night: The club’s juvenile presentation night has been postponed to next Friday (November 27) at 7.30pm, due to a clash with the Rannafast Cup Final. Also on the night we will launch our 2016 calendar, which will be in sale in McConnon’s shop, Old Cross Square, from Saturday week.

 

Good luck: Best wishes to Thomas Croarkin, Jamie Shields, Conor McCrystal and the St. Macartan’s College team in the Rannafast Cup Final tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm in Inniskeen.

 

Scór: Well done to our club members who competed in the Scór na nÓg county final in Threemilehouse last Saturday. Congratulations to Danny Treacy, who won the recitation competition and now progresses to the Ulster semi-final in Killeavy Co Armagh this Saturday at 7pm. Comhghairdeas agus ádh mór!

 

AGM: The club’s Annual General Meeting takes place in the clubhouse next Thursday, November 26 at 7.30pm. The Lotto committee AGM has been set for Sunday, December 20.

 

Know Your Sport: Our ‘Know Your Sport’ predictions competition has been won by Emmet McWilliams (c/o Nicholas Treanor), who correctly forecast the winners of 16 of the 20 sporting events.

 

Sympathy: The club extends deepest sympathy to the family of Brian Murphy on his sad death. We also offer sympathy to Owen Connell and family on the death of his sister Evelyn and Seán McKenna and family on the death of his cousin, Anthony.

 

Club history: A group of club members are currently working on finishing a club history. Anyone who wishes to submit material is asked to contact Fergus Coyle, Enda Galligan, Joe McElvaney or Colm Shalvey. Club photos of historical value are particularly welcome and they can be emailed to Pro.monaghanharps.monaghan@gaa.ie.

 

Gavan Duffy Park: The refurbished Monaghan Harps clubhouse is available to book for functions. Contact Jimmy Croarkin on 087 1249635 or Pádraig Callan on 087 2139188 for more information. Anyone looking to book the clubhouse for meetings, functions, etc. is asked to please give a week’s notice for convenience.
