Guests of Honour will be the 1966 County Junior Double winning team members. Medals will be presented to this year’s Reserve Championship and Under-21 winning teams. Music will be provided by the Great Pretenders. Tickets are €40 each and will be available in the coming weeks.

Danske Bank Rannafast Cup. Congratulations to the Patrician High School team that claimed the Rannafast Cup at a cold and wet Inniskeen on Friday evening last. The team put on an exhibition of all that is good in the game of football and proved to be a far superior outfit to the St. Macartan’s team.

The team was exceptionally well-prepared for the clash and all the members played their part in ensuring that the trophy will rest at the Carrickmacross school for the next twelve months. Many south Monaghan clubs were represented on the winning team and the performance of these players augurs well for the future of the game in this part of the county.

The Magheracloone club is particularly proud of the outstanding contribution made by club members to this victory. Congratulations to team captain, Conor McKeown, Liam Óg Murray, Barry Kieran, Niall Marron and Dylan McCahey for the parts they played in this famous night.

A.G.M. The Annual General Meeting of the club was postponed owing to the Rannafast Cup final and it will now be held on this Friday in the Community Centre. The decision to put back the meeting proved to be a correct one as many members travelled to the Inniskeen venue to support the club’s young players in the schools’ final.
