Seniors v Carrick Intermdiate league semi final:

Our seniors travelled to Corduff to take on Carrickmacross in the
league semi final, with conditions horrific prior to throw in,
thankfully it changed for the better. We controlled this game right
from the throw in. Barry Mc Bennett opened our account within the
opening 2 minutes, this was followed by points by Barry Mc Ginn. Our
defence stood firm and forced Carrick into errors, the only scores
coming form Carrick in the first half was free kick. Barry McGinn and
Niall Connolly  registered further points for us, an excellent save by
James Casey in the last seconds in the first half meant we were going
in a point up 0-5 to 0-4 was the half time scoreline. The second half
couldnt have started any better for us, scoring 1-2 in the first 4
minutes was the goal coming from the boot of Barry Mc Ginn, Paul Mc
Ardle and Barry Mc Bennett gave us a comfortable lead with 15 minutes
gone, another goal by Barry McBennett in the 18th minute was the
insurance score. Carrick got their first point from play in the 20th
minute and followed it with another, we pulled further ahead with a
point by Colin Walshe and then in the last few seconds a point by who
else only Shane Connolly to confirm our place in the league final. It
finished on a scoreline 2-11 Carick 0-9. Team: James Casey, Jason Mc
Elroy, Martin Hughes, Gavin King, Damien Ward, Kevin Mc Ardle, Conor
Marray, Johnny Duffy, Colin Walshe, Darren Connolly, Naill Connolly,
Ollie Hughes, Barry Mc Ginn, Jamie Walshe, Barry Mc Bennett.
